After I had experienced rain damage to my home recently I got in touch with swiftcover who I have my policy with (cheap yes, my own fault) to ask for advice on their procedure more than anything because i wanted to avoid a claim if possible. I went online and was encouraged to email them, with a small option underneath to call an 0871 number. So I emailed the details and was told someone would be in touch 'shortly'. I still haven't heard from them. The day after I emailed customer services to ask after my first email. I still havent heard from THEM. That evening I called the 24/7 claims line and I was told I needed another office which was closed for the weekend and I should chase it on monday. On tuesday I sent a fairly polite email to the complaints team to say I was still waiting. I still haven't heard from them either. I called on wednesday and was actually relieved when a young lad, who spoke like he was half trained and half asleep, said I couldn't claim. What is most annoying is that I only really wanted a quick query answering. The only thing these people are swift at is signing you up!
