I arranged an appointment for sales visit. One hour before, the company called to confirm, and said that it would take one hour. I said it would need to be quicker than that, since all I wanted was one window to be measured and to be given a price for this job. The woman said that it had to take an hour as this was company policy, but she would contact the sales person to 'arrange a different time'. I made it clear that I didn't want a different time, I just didn't have time for a one-hour sales pitch.
So I waited at home, but nobody turned up at the appointed time. And that was the end of that.
I couldn't believe that a company would treat customers of a potential four-figure job like this. How dare they tell me how long they will be in my house, and how do they expect to get business if they ignore potential customers' wishes?
First impressions count, and this lot need to seriously examine their attitude.
This was an object lesson on their part on how to lose potential business.
