Terrible. The last delivery was the final straw - 30% of my shopping was unavailable. I had used Asda home delivery since the birth of my daughter 20 months mainly for convenience. Gradually over time I noticed perishables such as yoghurts - especially multipacks had ridiculously short shelf lifes. For example 18 petit filous yoghurts with 5 days left on them. My daughter has a healthy appetite but not 18 yoghurts in 5 days. Fruit and vegetables were always way over weight - ie I ordered 2 kg of apples and they delivered 3.8kg. There were more often than not bashed beyond eating, and oranges were on several occasions mouldy. One one occasion I ordered 1kg of sweet potatoes, which I meant to use over several dayys. They sent one giant potato the size of my head! Bread rolls were often rock solid and with a use by date of the next day, that's if they were available at all. On several occasions things such as bread and milk were unavailable which I found hard to believe. Anything "special" like cakes from the bakery were always unavailable. Anything "out of the ordinary" and I assume out of comfortable walking distance for the pickers were unavailable. However it was strange how I could go to the shop the next day and pick the same items up in person. Substitutes were so ridiculous I ended up ticking no substitutes after a while. Then deliveries became late every week - if they turned up at all. On one of the occasions it did not turn up I was told by the dreadful call centre that it "was on its way" - this was after she had told me she had not way to contact the driver! I pointed out that she had clearly made up the fact it was on its way and sure enough I went to bed at 11pm with my shopping never arriving. For that they were "good enough" to refund my £3 delivery fee - despite the fact I had sat and waited for 5 hours for it. The call centre is in south africa and is atrocious. The lines are so bad you can barely hear the staff, and their accents are so thick they are hard to understand. The last time I called them I didnt have my reference as I was at work but foolishly believed they could find me through my name, address and email address. Despite having to repeat myself and actually spell them all out 3 times the staff member still couldn't "find me" and actually asked if I had got my postcode right. Err yes! When my final order turned up with 30% of the items I had ordered missing I had had enough. I will never shop at Asda again. Tesco turn up on time - you even gets texts on the day to narrow your delivery slot to an hour. The items so far haven't been damaged and have plenty of shelf life. And so far I have had minimal unavailables and substitutes have been acceptable. I don't believe the 10 percent guarantee because most of things I bought were never elgible - oddly enough only the things that were cheaper in Asda! Price is not everything. Decent service and good produce are and if that's important to you, you aren't going to get it at Asda
