WRITE A REVIEW

“Van or car fire... No1 is covered APPARENTLY! (clauses)”

Just want to make everyone aware of my AVIVA experience..

Been a member from the beginning, never claimed.

My van had a fire on the ECU and in 2 places on the cable loom.

AVIVA told me they had spoken to the garage and decided it was a write off and would contact me with a price...  I phoned every day and was told "tomorrow they will have a price". A blue cycle salvage and auction lorry turned up to take my van away. I said he couldn't take it until a price was agreed. He left empty handed.

After a week and a half I get a phone call saying an engineer came out and now it isn't a write off, they have changed their mind, it is now not covered.

I am now left going through the FOS to get this investigated.. I have a 2 page engineers report off the garage who have it saying it is not possible to tell here the fire started first..

Wish me luck... Plz don't make the same mistake by using AVIVA insurance... Think long and hard! AVOID!
