We received an afternoon tea experience as a gift, in January we booked the Afternoon tea with hotel for April. We explained to the hotel at time of booking we had an activity store voucher and they said that was fine. Two weeks before the date we confirmed with the hotel all seem ok. We arrived at the hotel in London only to be told they no longer accept these vouchers as Activity Store do not pay them for the vouchers. Highly embarrassed we left and tried to call the Activity Superstore but as it was a weekend there was no answer. We were also annoyed that the hotel had not called us to explain so we complained to the manager and they honoured our booking and apologised, we could not fault the hotel or the afternoon tea but got the impression they had been messed about by Activity Superstore. However, this gift had been bought on the basis that it could be used in London or in Kent yet it appears Activity Superstore can just 'delete' venues despite them being advertised at the time of purchase, there is no where in Kent or London that you can now use this voucher. I would suggest people book direct with venues there isn't any price difference anyway.
