Do not use this company to hire a car (Or anything else probably). I have just returned from Spain after hiring one from them through a associate company in Spain called Advantage.
When booking, the price seems a good price but there are lots of hidden costs when you pick up the car from Advantage in Spain. One is that you have to pay for a full tank of fuel and bring back empty which is over charged by 20-30 euros. They then try and sell you full insurance at around 8 euros per day extra to cover glass, wheels, tyre damage etc. An extra 3 euros a day for any additional driver.
Now let me tell you what happened to me:-
I arrived at just after midnight at Malaga to pick my car up, I did not wish to pay an extra 80 euros for the optional extra insurance, so they debited 400 euros from my credit card to cover any damage not included in the standard insurance.
The car they gave me was 2-3 years old with lots of dents and scrapes on it with 65,000km on the clock. After about 60km the car started to lose power and the regain it, a short while later the car cut out and smoke from came from engine. No interior light worked, we were on the edge of a no lit motorway in blackness. After around 2 hours a brake down truck picked the car up and a taxi took us to our destination. We wee told to ring Advantage in the morning as they were now shut to arrange another car. In the morning I spoke to them eventually and I had to go back to Malaga airport 90Km away! to pick another car up. They arranged for Taxi to pick us up. Nightmare! When we got there they told us that the engineers report said that the damage was caused by us to the underneath of the car, complete nonsence. The car was not maintained. They said they are going to keep 200 euros on the card I gave them on pick up. They stich you up and scam you especially if you dont pay the extra insurance. It seems that the car I picked up was a bait car as it was never great from the moment i was out of the airport and I was going to report it the next day but it broke down and I had to pay for it!
