As far as coverage in the Greater London goes they are second best there is in UK - just after O2 (my other contract). West London and Central London coverage is close to very good, broadband speed is acceptable having HSDPA in 30-40% of West London areas and 70% in Central London.
Technically I rarely had any issue in last 5 years and in London they beat cr4p out of "Three networks" or "Orange networks" alike - in terms of quality and signal coverage.
I am now with Orange (unfortunately but it was £15 a month cheaper than Vodafone to sign again) and price is big problem with Vodafone.
1.) Their promotions suck nothing really useful as I buy my gig tickets on ebay anyway.
2.) Worst customer service EVER experienced, being with them nearly 5 years and the single time they have tried (for 10 seconds) to be anything good was when I asked for PAC code to switch to Orange. Once they realised I already signed with Orange and there was no way back the "artificially polite" guy hanged on me as for him there was no reason to continue conversation (feedback? say thank you for leaving us?). On numerous occasions when I needed customer favor they turned me down.
