“Yamaha Vity 125cc”

written by pattojones on 22/04/2012

I bought mine brand new from Streetbike Halesowen in the summer of 2010. I paid £1800 OTR with breakdown cover, insurance, road tax, helmet.

I have had 125's (geared) and 50's before. This is much more refined.

All things considered...an amazing little bike! I've ridden it almost 5 day's a week since on a 10 mile each way commute to/from work and it'll do about 90-100 miles to £5.50 of petrol (Apr '12 prices) (mostly a 40mph limit). Amazing really. I could ride more economically but i like beating cars away...they think its a 50cc 2 stroke affair! Ha! No chance unless they really hammer it.

Main dealer servicing is expensive. Rear brake is weak/rubbish. Oil change dead easy and needs doing every 1200 miles. It takes 20 mins.

Top whack, it'll hit 63mph on the flat (i weigh 78Kg) and this plummets when heading up long hills. I would like to pull a bit more oomph from it, if im honest.
