“ACCUSED FOR DAMAGING A WATCH 4 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE!”

I bought a watch for my daughters 25th birthday to surprise her. Unfortunately she didnt like it. Tried it ONCE and put it back in the box. 4 days later I went to return it, and was told I couldn't get my money back as it was DAMAGED????
The manager was extremely rude and unhelpful. He didn't want the box but took the watch and put it in a bag. I said - please put it in the box so it doesn't get 'damaged' anymore. He responded in a disgusting tone ' DONT tell me how to do my job!' With shock and sheer upset, I left the store and the watch has gone to customer services - which by the sound of it sounds like they are going to do NOTHING.
I cannot believe a store like this has such a bad trail of customer service. Its ridiculous.
