I started the process of remortgaging with the Woolwich over 6 weeks ago, va a broker. In the words of my broker they have handled my case "exceptionally badly". After 6 weeks they have let documents relating to my case, failed to make a decision & still have the £150 fee I had to pay up front. I still don't have a decision from the Woolwich as regards my mortgage and as a result am about to withdraw my application & take my business elsewhere. I have wasted time & lenders are upping rates so I have lost out wasting time awaiting their decision. The Woolwichs appaling handling of my case is a matter I intend t raise via the financial ombudsman.
Save yourself a whole load of pain & do not go with the Woolwich. My experience is without a shadow of a doubt the worst customer service I have ever had.
