I made a reservation for a 9 seat van for ten days though Sixt in france. I prepaid for the booking and it was confirmed. I have made my plans based on this car being available and at no time was I informed that the reservation was not confirmed or could be cancelled without warning. Two days before the rental I was rung up by the Sixt office where I rented it from and told the car was not going to be available. The service there was so appalling, I was made to feel like it was my fault. I was literally told "well, it is the school holidays, what do you expect". What I expect is the car that I ordered and paid for. Absolutely hopeless!!
