Flew to Alicante from Liverpool in January. I was amongst the last six people to board the aircraft, and and although the aircraft had about eight empty seats the overhead lockers were full. One of the cabin crew even had to take her bag out of the overhead locker. As I was searching the overhead lockers for space to put my reasonably sized bag in, the female cabin manager passed by and said loudly "If you can't find room for that,it will have to be off-loaded". I then suggested that it could be placed on the floor in an empty seat. An other cabin crew member thought this was a good idea.!
The rules are if you can't find room in the overhead locker, then it is placed in the hold and given back to you when you are getting off the aircraft. I think Ryan air cabin crew should realise that passengers are paying their wages..
