Heed the warning folks and save yourself the inconvenience, bother, and frustration of having to deal with Gainsborough Showers and their staff.
At present am trying to deal with our 4th complete shower unit failure in approx 6 years but the customer service team, yep the very same ones who promise on their homepage to faithfully help and offer technical support, seem to think that offering no help whatsoever and then ignoring customer pleas for help is the answer.
How bloody rude and frustrating when they refuse to answer or acknowledge the very emails they invite you to send if you are experiencing after sales problems. Their attitude towards their customers stinks (even long standing ones like us!) and goes no way towards the utter rubbish they spout on their website. Don't be fooled.
After researching on the web, it seems we are one among many who are fed up, frustrated and disgruntled at the whole set up, from the poor quality showers they sell, to the way in which customers are treated when they inevitably fail often weeks outside of the warranty period.
One thing that strikes me is that Gainsborough has it's customers to an unfair advantage. They corner a very small part of the shower market that has it's water inlet supply to the right hand side. Typically, if you decide to ditch them for good and go with another manufacturer, the cost suddenly rises when recessed water pipes and electricals have to be moved. I think their arrogance and poor quality products safely leads me to think that they know in reality, despite the regular breakdowns, we will be back buying yet more replacements.
