Currently experiencing difficulty with these incompetent liars. 4 weeks ago informed the fraud dept. about an unusual transaction on my account, was told two transactions was declined by the bank on the same day but the third transaction was successful. the following day found out it was my son, contacted the bank & the merchant informed them of what happened and now I am liable for the transaction. I told them I accept it was my card and it is my responsibility however, the information of my debit card details were on the pc. my question to these people are if they were able to detect and decline two transaction earlier why on earth did they not decline the third. I was informed by a male of their fraud department in a very bullying manner that it is not the bank's responsibility to review customers account and I should take my son to the police and charge and then provide with them with a crime reference number and maybe they would reinstate my account back to credit, instead of overdrawn, I can't believe that they are trying to make money out of my desperate circumstances. One great thing that Halifax has taught me is to keep my honesty to myself.
