“Damage Scam!!”

I was referred to enterprise after a no fault car accident.........upon collecting the car the representative hurried me round the car and asked me to point out any damage to the car, when i started pointing out scratches he said 'i'm not interested in minor scratches!' making me believe I was going over the top. Anyway, after non stop hassle we had to drop it off before we could collect our own car. The representative who went round the car found a scratch on the wheel arch which I hadn't noticed when I collected it.

For this superficial scratch they have taken £300 from our account claiming it as an excess and that we will be refunded any difference between the cost of repair and the £300. It's a known fact that hire car companies do not get these scratches fixed so i reckon they just hope you forget about it! Well i'm not and plan to demand a receipt for the £300 they took from my account (didn't get one!) plus a receipt for work done BECAUSE if the £300 is just a charge for the damage it is excessive (considering other minor scratches to car) PLUS this guy implied it would be fixed I am hoping I have a leg to stand on.............

After speaking with others, they have too had the same experience.........it is obviously a money making scam!
