I was told when I ordered my wardrobe that I would get a 30 minute advance phonecall informing me the delivery man was coming - that didn't happen and apparently never does.
Anyway this man hammers on the front door and drops part of the wardrobe against the front door. He doesn't speak a word. He then gets the rest of the wardrobe and drops it against the door. I asked could he bring it inside (I am small and it was heavy - delivery only). He grunted and stared at me and then almost threw it into my corridor. He grunted again which was an indication to sign I assumed. When I opened the wardrobe the main side panel was actually smashed, it had been handled so roughly. I phoned argos who were really unhelpful. Eventually they said it would be delivered on the Saturday - I asked for a time seeing as they were replacing something they had broken. No, I couldn't have that, they couldn't possibly be helpful. I waited in all day Saturday and it never arrived. Monday they randomly chose to deliver it without checking if that was ok - I was at work of course. I got it eventually, delivered by another grunting troglodyte, but still have a broken panel that I have to dispose as, of course, they didn't take it away either.
