Ordered and paid for goods on line, TV Stand & Surround, received order acknowledgement stating estimated delivery 03/04/12, but they would confirm ACTUAL delivery date by text, email or telephone within 72 hrs. (according to their web page, they state they always do) however having not received a confirmation from IKEA I presumed delivery would be made on the estimated date 03/04/12 as stated, so arranged to be at home to receive same, FIRST MISTAKE underestimated Ikea efficency (being a Scandinavian country that would be 5 stars) WRONG AGAIN! they had not informed theire underlings in the UK that this was the SWEDISH NORM (or had they?) So being Monday the first working of the day week, I decided to ring IKEA customer services, (you know the drill, press 1, press 2, press 3 etc.) Press I, if you want to track your order (Please go to www.ikea.co.uk.) waste of time around in circles I go (ring o' ring of roses) Decided to ring Customer Services, WOW SUCCESS! after pressing a number of options, finally got a REAL LIVE PERSON. Explained position regarding confirmation not received, so was expecting delivery oon their esimated day, he stated he would look into the matter, he came back very apologetic that I had not received a delivery date, and stated the earliest date would be Tuesday 10/04/12 but this would be confirmed 48 hrs. prior on the Easter Sunday 08/04/12. I shall now wait in eager anticipation, possibly looking upwards, hands clasped in hope that my prayers may be answered.
