“Beware!!!!”

I'm a small independent retailer and like everyone on the High St struggling to keep
a float. In October 2011 a representative from Laneset contacted me about appealing my business rates,
the young lady was pleasant in her manner and told me I would be in titled to around 18% discount on future rates, along
With a refund of the rates paid over the past two years.

I gave them basic details of the business and was told I would here from surveyor acting for me, the invoice quickly
Followed payment due within 30'days, three days later the phone calls started and it was very aggressive selling
Saying I needed to pay straight away somt hey could lodge the appeal before a certain date. I was very unsure about this
but against my better judgement paid them on 21st November 2011 Todate I have heard nothing from them since
I have just contacted VOA whom tell me they have had nothing from Laneset apart from the initial details in Ocotober
Laneset was suppose to enter into discussions with VOA Januuary 6th 2012, but failed to do so.

VOA are now about to close the applications and have advised that I re appeal myself and they will help with the application
With no cost.

I have since tried to contact Laneset on various telephone numbers but all are answering machines. I feel sick that
I should have gone with my first instincts and not gone with them I have more than likely lost that money and my business
Rates have just gone up! So lose, lose for me. Beware.
