TERRIBLE! AVIOD for Dollar or Euro Travel Currency Cards
First of all they are the only company who want your 44 digit passport number, why? None of the other companies need this.
I went ahead with the application for a Dollar card anyway and received a prompt acknowledgment for the application and deposit.
The next day, I received an email asking for a copy of the photo page of my passport and copies of proof of address, utility bills etc. I could scan & email, fax or post these. Again none of the other companies require this, it just seems unnecessary hassle.
So I called their help line and spoke to a woman who said she couldn’t help but would have someone call me back straight away. Guess what? Yup, no one called.
I called the following day to cancel the application and request a refund of my deposit which they said they have done WTHOUT any security checks or qualifying who I really was whatsoever, they ask for security information at the time off application. I could have been anybody cancelling anybody’s card, they only asked my name.
BEWARE & AVOID in my opinion. What would they be like when you’re abroad and have a problem? Lucky escape if you ask me.
