My experience with United Airlines has been horrible. They screwed up our flight last year and did give us vouchers. But when we went to book with the vouchers, there were issues applying the vouchers to the flights. They processed my credit card and even gave confirmation #s over the phone, promising a confirmation email within the hour. Nothing was received or charged for almost a week. We had to call back inquiring about our tickets. On minute they said our tickets were on hold, that the vouchers were not going through. Then they could not find out tickets using confirmation numbers or credit cards. They claim their system is screwed up because of merging with Continental. I'm on my 5 hour of phone communication with their customer service, and still no one, not even the supervisors can figure out what's going on. Meanwhile, I've given 2 credit card numbers and personal information without results!!! Horrible. A week later I still have no resolve...I will never again work with this airline!
