I got a Magimix 5100 coming up to 7 years ago, and it's still doing well today! I love how easy it is to use, and I regularly use the grater and mixer functions (at least once or twice a week.) My friend has troubles with her dough hook on hers, but since I rarely use mine I've not had a problem with this. I think if you are looking at something for making bread and cakes you should look into a Kenwood Mixer instead.
