I made my first journey from London to Bristol on megabus and read the reviews and was petrified, had visions of disgusting buses that blew up on the way (actual review.)
I got the coach from London Victoria Coach station which isn't the nicest of places but that is not megabuses fault, when I walked in there were tramps there but free wifi. The bus boarded us 10 mins early and I got to Bristol 1 minute after estimated time and on the way back the coach arrived four minutes late and got to London 20 minutes late, but for £5 I can put up with that.
The coaches were comfortable, air con, curtains, clean, I was very impressed, the only thing I would say is that the people that you are travelling with are not always the same but I guess there is nothing that can be done about them!
People please do not be frightened about using Megabus, they are a good company and I will be using them again.
