Bought a house with a Baumatic BDW13 already installed in the kitchen. £ weeks in and the drainage pump has failed. Independent engineer advised that the machine isn't worth the £65 to replace, but replaced anyway.
The biggest problem is that even with the best dishwasher tablets and on the highest setting possible, the plates and cups are dirtier after the cycle than they were before they went into the machine.
I've checked all filters, salt and rinse aid and even the jets on the arms.
What a pile of cr!p.
If your installing a dishwaher on a budget, I recomend a sink and hot water rather than a Baumatic. Save up and get a differnt make.
Oh, and while I remember, why the hell does the door not stay open on its own. Bloody anoying when your trying to fill the top section and the door keeps slamming shut.
Who designed this? More importantly, who bench tested this and allowed it to go on sale?
Muppets.
