“Disappointing”

Written on: 22/03/2012 by Builderon (1 review written)

I have to agree with others who were disappointed with the show. Luckily I got a free ticket from Martin Lewis's column, and spent a couple of hours there before setting off on holiday, so I didn't wast any money on travel or tickets, otherwise I would have felt decidedly more ticked off.
I was hoping to see lighting and renewable heating ideas for a building project, but the exhibition seemed to be 90% beauty products, health aids and food stalls, and there was little you couldn't see in homebase or DFS.
I did buy a car cleaning kit fed fom a bucket, which I'm very pleased with. (The essential part is the 'non return valve', it's a very simple plastic fitting, which should be available for pence, and could be incorperated into your existing hose and brush, if you want to save $20).
Overall, I left with the impression that serious businesses had decided that the recession had made this exhibition too expensive to invest in, and it was left to high street vendors to make up the numbers.
