I just happened to buy a suit and men's leather belt at my Local Burton Store yesterday and I was informed of this Burton Store Card, and the stores where I can use it, which are Burton, TopShop, Miss Selfridge, Wallis, BHS, Dorothy Perkins, Evans and TopMan, I could also use it online at http://www.burton.co.uk/card also I was told that I don't need to pay anything right now and the amount will be charged to this store card straight away and I have to pay it once I receive the statement.
To top it all off, I was also given a straight 10% discount on all my shoppings throughout the year on all the shops where this card could be used (Including this shopping).
I found it a really good deal.
I did join in as a customer and now waiting for this card to arrive, I am given £250 credit, I am not a regular shopping person, so its not of much use to me, but I guess whenever I will shop, I will easily reach that amount, so although once a while but buying £250 and getting a £25 discount isn't a bad deal really.
So far, the only drawback I have seen is that it doesn't have a 0800 / 0500 / 0808 or a local landline customer care contact number, the contact numbers are all 0845 / 0871 numbers which are pretty costly especially for those who don't have a landline phone connection.
As far as making online payments is concerned, I just googled up Burton Store Card and got this website:
http://www.burtoncard.com/
They do allow you to register online as well as make payments online on your account, so I think it is a good service, if not this, I think I would just set up a direct debit so that money is automatically taken from account and I am not charged unnecessary interest.
