“I met my wife through Christian Connection”

A little more than 4 years ago I met the woman who is now my wife at a Christian Connection dating event. It was the first and last time that either of us had been to such an event, but it was clear to us that both the attendees and organisers seemed to be genuine church-going Christian people, and not non-believers trying to attract more custom to their secular organisation by putting a Christian veneer on it. Coincidentally both of us were active members of different Baptist congregations and we were both keen to meet someone who was also a practicing Christian (but not necessarily a Baptist). Like many Christians the relatively small pool of our local congregation hadn't found us the partner we were looking for, but Christian Connections worked for us. We met in mid-January 2008, and by the end of February her family were encouraging her to ask me to marry her (2008 was a leap year). It took me a little longer than that to propose, but seven months and seven days after we first met we were married. I can't recommend Christian Connections too highly.
