All of the marketing stuff for Admiral says that if you have a comprehensive policy then you will be entitled to a courtesy car whilst under repair at one of our approved garages. THIS IS NONSENSE! My son had his car damaged by a van pulling out of a junction right in front of him and has been without his car for FIVE WEEKS whilst his car has been at one of their approved garages (in Peterborough). They say that because his car is an IMPORT he doesn't qualify. If you look at what they are advertising here http://www.admiral.com/car-insurance/about-admiral/features-and-benefits.php there is no mention of this and no asterisks of conditions mentioned. How are they allowed to get away with it? All the reps say on the phone is "we're really sorry". This is pathetic. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! They are rubbish. On my son's policy document (which has 6 sections) they refer to section 7! How are they allowed to do that? Who would buy a comp policy from them if they knew? Also - on the policy document is a section which is headed: Exclusions. Courtesy Car is not mentioned in this section either! This seems like a delibrate attempt to defraud people into advertising for a service that they do not provide. I am utterly disgusted that they are allowed to get away with it. They even charged you to complain (8p per minute!) http://www.admiral.com/policyDocs/admComplaints.pdf If you are thinking about using Amiral - THINK AGAIN - they're rubbish!!
