WRITE A REVIEW

“DON'T BUY THIS.”

I bought Challenge Xtreme Hammer Drill and Screwdriver as a set 11 months ago from Argos.
As I have my old Black and Decker corded drill from last century and a cheap Wickes screwdriver the Challenge set has had a very easy life.
1st. the Challenge Screwdriver just couldn't cope with 11/14" No. 6 screws into predrilled holes. (Made a screaming sound after attempting 3 and stopped working!) Never mind my old Wickes one did over 120 before asking to be recharged and is again up and ready to go.
The drill did OK until now that the battery and / or charger has given up.
No help at all from Argos Can't find replacement batteries anywhere.
I give up!
Will return items under warrenty / not fit for purpose.
This is a throw away item and a terrible waste of time and resources let alone the environmental problems of waste.
