after my car was hit by a hit and run driver,i got hold of the registration and starting the procedure of a third party claim.
i was told to collect a hire car from enterprise car hire, they offered me the excess waiver but i did not want to pay out money for a problem that was not my fault.
After 2 days of hire i noticed a small crack in the bottom of the windscreen
which gradually got larger ,took the car back to them and they want to charge me £250 excess ,i finally got this down to £165.
Was a VERY DISSAPOINTING OUTCOME told them to keep the car and then walked 3 miles home out of principle.
WILL NEVER USE ENTERPRISE CAR HIRE AGAIN.
PS IF YOU DO HIRE A CAR MAKE SURE YOU CHECK IT WITH A FINE TOOTH COMB AS WINDSCREEN WAS FILTHY HENCE I COULD NOT SEE SMALL CRACK.
SAT NAV MARK WAS STILL ON SCREEN FROM PREVIOUS USER.
