“The truth of what happens to dark brown hair.”

Written on: 26/02/2012

Being around my friends who were all doing interesting and cool things to their hair such as the whole red craze! it was only natural that i wanted to join in. But my mother firmly said no, so the rebellious teen within me saw the 'Sun-in' product at superdrug!

I bought this product last summer and used it a couple of times, i only sprsyed it into the ends of my hair and the colour change was moving so slowly. mainly because i didn't really do much to my hair and blow-dryed it occassionaly.

About 7 months later there has been a change in my hair, but my hair has gone a light-ish brown and in the sun it is so obvious there is a change in my hair. but the quality of my hair has changed, its frazzled, not soft or healthy and i often have to do deep-conditioning treatments.

the upside was that this doesn't cause much of an impact, it's cheap and perfect if you want a slight change. but now i desperately want to change back to my old hair colour, all my friends have commented asking if i have tip-dyed my hair. it looks good! But i wish i didn't use it in the first pace, and now i am growing out my hair.

my advice would be is definitely spray it on a tiny section of hair and moniter the changes, remember that you are bleaching your hair so expect damage. do not spray it on the crown of your hair or you will really regret it if you do not like it.

i'm trying to grow out my layers & this change of colour so i can go back to orignial, natural is always best ;)
