The issue we have just uncovered is where the goods go up in price between when you order them and when they are delivered. Its a scam! How many people check the price of every item on delivery? Well I am suggesting everyone who has a delivery from Asda does just that - KEEP THE VAN MAN OR WOMAN WAITING WHILE THEY DO IT. Why? because the last delivery I received had items at bloated prices, higher than those shown when I made the order. I have complained on the phone & was told to bring the items to the store for a refund! Makes the delivery system pointess eh?
Anyway, I sent an email because of the daft answer & have been told that we are charged the price as at the time of delivery. SO if an item goes up in price between order & delivery, you get charged the higher price with NO NOTIFICATION AT ALL. Tesco website warns customers of the date an offer ends nor is a price is going up. Asda seem to care less about the customers purse, they could easily change their software & do likewise.
We have been using Asda recently but are now unable to check whether we have been overcheaged in the past. Back to Tescos's for us!
DONT FORGET, KEEP THE VAN DRIVER WAITING WHILE YOU CHECK EVERY ITEM ON YOUR LIST FOR A HIDDEN PRICE INCREASE. COMPARE AGAINST THE LIST ON YOUR EMAIL.
