“AVOID!”

Written on: 20/02/2012 by mk1306 (1 review written)

This is the first time we used an agent to look for a flat and we lost the money even before we got a property (we didn't get it in the end). My partner just changed jobs and we made it clear to the agency and asked whether this will affect the referencing. The sales team said all will be fine. Then we paid the deposit and then we were told that the referencing will fail since my partner is on probationary period. At that point we proceeded with the referencing and failed. We were then told that we could have withdrawn at that point, but this was not stated as an option. In the end we lost a ridiculous amount of money and the flat and a lot of time so we were left only with a few days to find an alternative. Unless you are super savvy in legal clauses and fine print - avoid!
