From the moment I started this course I have had nothing but bad experiences from this provider. I started the biology igcse course in october 2011 and throughout October,November and December I had no tutor support. I sent email after email to my tutor but received no replies. Every time I called student services I was given a different excuse, ranging from my tutor not having the correct email address to them being unaware that the tutor was in hospital. I requested a refund for the months I didn't have a tutor for they told they would look into it, this was 4 weeks ago! Material is very complicated and wordy and has left me really doubting myself as a mature student. I have previously studied with the OU so I do have experience of home study. There is no study plan to stick to, you are simply given a folder and are left to do it without knowing how much to study each week. I wish I had just brought biology revision books myself rather than pay the hefty £300! You also have to find an exam provider and pay around £70 to take the exams. Please take my advice and stay away!
