“Thoroughly inconvenient”

Written on: 17/02/2012 by Jentraff (1 review written)

Many, many issues with Next Directory. Multi-pack pyjamas delivered with different sizes in pack 4(!) time shaving to trek out to the shop to make returns, somewhat obviating the £3.99 Delivery charge. Having moved house, unable to change my address online, then told by customer services advisor that to change my address, I would have to open a whole new account! Staggeringly bad, and highly unusual: I move regularly in the Forces, and have neither encountered this requirement with any other user, nor found that any fraud has been committed against me as a result. Additionally, with no. Ads registered at my old address any longer, I am consequently unable to use my account at all to purchase with Next. As a result, they have lost me as a customer. I would recommend against ever entering into distance purchasing with Next: their system is set in a bygone era, and they need to catch up with other Internet retailers. Still feels like dealing with a catalogue company of the 1990s.
