“Refuse to replace broken equipment”

Warning - Dixons seem to have a policy against replacing broken equipment. Our washing machine has had problem after problem. They refuse to replace it, every time it goes wrong they insist we have an engineer come out. I think it's a con to make you buy their extended warranties. If you don't buy the warranty they won't replace anything. The law says they have to replace it if it can't be fixed, but they just say 'see you in court' because they know it's too much trouble.
