Yes, Amazon now does trade in.
At first glance it seems excellent, you add the items you are trading in to your trade in basket, checkout your basket, print of the postage label, post to Amazon for free and receive credit in your Amazon account.
However, The system is very flawed.
You can only trade in books and games
I tried to trade in some books, but a warning comes up saying make sure the ISBN numbers match, well having the exact same version of the books they accept is pretty slim. The discussion forums are flooded with people asking if they can trade in books with different ISBN numbers but no replies from Amazon.
I contacted Amazon via Live Chat, which is a very helpful tool, except they informed me no, the ISBN numbers have to match exactly.
At only 25p per book, they are very picky.
It is the same with Games, and the people who have actually managed to have matching ISBN numbers have only had their items returned for various reasons including condition not good enough (for new and sealed items), Item not working, item doesn't match the one selected etc.
So has anyone actually managed to trade anything in to Amazon.
