Well, what to say about Swinton, apart from being one of the worst companies I have come across.
I have been with the Billericay branch of Swinton, with the main culprit of unfriendliness, incompetence and abnoxiousness being the branch manager named John.
I have recieved a pretty good good qoute via a prize comparison site. I have been driving company cars before and have been asking if they would accept the no claims. Of course they (John) said yes, just to get my commitment to pay.
After "reviewing" my no claims, he obviously changed his mind, and claimed that he never agreed to anything, and also that he could remember "every phone call he makes". Well, as he was threatening to cancel the insurance, and I needed the car that day, I agreed to a new qoute which was "about £30 more per month".
When I had a look at my outgoing bills next month, I realized that he actually charged £60 more. Wouldn't you say that's a bit more than £30? Well, just about 100% more, not worth mentioning he thought. When I phoned him he couldn't remember giving me the oute of £30 more. Yes, it's the same John who can apparently remembers all his phone calls.
I think it's needless to say, that I am not with Swinton anymore, and never will be again.
There is just one thing I often think about.....what an amazing brain John must have got....remembering all his phonecalls!!
It just seem he always forgets about the commitments he makes via phone towards his customers.
This must be the worst experience I ever had in dealing with a company, or let's say with an employee of a company.
