“Renewal through the roof”

Insured a horsebox for a year (no claims or changes). At renewal time the premium had gone up a whopping £51 or some 30% of the total. The very unhelpful guy on the 'phone wasn't interested in trying to match a lower quote from elsewhere but patronisingly tried to upsell me breakdown cover and a fully comprehensive policy. He also told me that, as premiums had gone up on average 40% across the industry (oh yes?), I was being offered a good deal. Don't waste your time with these people - they clearly don't want/need your custom.

Home insurance is also outrageously uncompetitive - avoid.
