I purchased a pair of gold earrings in Oct 2011 and noticed after a few days that they had turned a copper/nickel colour. I returned to the store and explained my concern to the staff. I also advised them that I had numerous gold jewelry worn every day none of which has this persistent nickle tarnish. The staff were very dismissive however after fumbling for over an hour and my insistence that they were of a very poor quality they immersed in their on solution but there was no improvement. The manager reluctantly agreed to send them off to quality control. I was advised that I would be contacted in approx 5 weeks. Mid Jan 2012 I contact HS Samuel Bromeley provided my receipt and advised that I had heard nothing. The sales assistance disappeared for over 30mins and returned with my earrings I asked why more than 2 months on I was never contacted only to be advised that they were locked in their safe. No further explanation or apology was offered for their incompetence. To cause even more frustration and annoyance they produced what appeared to be a standard template letter allegedly from their quality control that stated that in their opinion the earrings were fine and I should use a cloth to clean. POOR quality jewelry, poor customer service and staff and management with no sense of ownership or responsibility post sale. DO NOT waste your money there is far too much choice on the High Street.
