“Cat Foaming at the mouth from Bob Martin Flea Spray”

written by richrich123 on 10/01/2012

I brought a bottle of Bob Martin Silent Flea Spray for cats from PetSmart as one of our 2 cats was scratching a lot. We followed all the steps and while it says you can do up to 16 pumps of spray on the cat per treatment, we only did about 8 as she was not very happy being sprayed. We brushed it in and towled her off as directed on the bottle and went to bed an hour or so later. About 1 hr later I heard noises of lapping and licking, I went out to find her dribbling, foam coming from her mouth and she was in distress and had huge dilated pupils. She was also choking on all the saliva and spit in her mouth

Having read many reviews online and seeing numerous cats have actually died from the side effects of this product, we had to put her under the shower (on low and luke warm) and totally wash her down (we were not happy just a sponge and bowel of water would be enough to get it all out as she is long haired). To say she is now a jibbering wreck after the shower experience is an understatement

I understand reactions can happen to chemical, in humans as well as cats but a google search reveals hundreds of identicle complaints suggesting it is not an isolated issue.

This smacks of wanting to sell a product and make money regardless of the pets health.

Totally disgusted, please never rish your pets health with these products
