I have tried almost every diet known to man/woman. I am 55 and have been following the Slimming World plan for 8 weeks and have lost 24lbs. At my first meeting I said it was impossible to eat this much food and lose weight. Well proved myself wrong. Don't feel fixated with food as there is always something 'free' to eat. Feel well on myself and even eating out is not a problem. Feel for once that this is achievable. Give it a go you've nothing to lose but extra pounds!
