up untill last summer i have been very happy with o2 and there services.
when two mobile phones were due for midterm upgrades in august i had to fight them for two months to persuade them i had good cause for complaint regarding the changes to thier mid-term upgrade terms. i.e i was sold a 2 year contract with a midterm upgrade and was point blank refused. after much explaining and many many conversations with higher and higher ranking o2 staff i managed to get both phones upgraded with no extension to the contract...result...
however i now come to the midterm on a third contract and am banging my head against the wall.. it now seems that evan though i was sold the contract £25 per month with a blackberry torch for £150 and a free midterm upgrade as i was with the other phones.in february 2011 they reviewed thier policy and the new policy is under no circumstances are midterm free upgrades to be given.
it seems that o2 can at will change the terms and conditions of there contracts with no notice and no matter what you were originaly sold if they decide that they arnt making enough millions they can then refuse to honour thier part of the contract..niiccee.
it seems that no matter how long you have been a customer(personally since 1992 about 20 years)they can then tie you into a 24 month contract ,then decide not to give you what they promised within that contract and you can do nothing about it..i feel this is un proffessional and downright disshonest. to top this they then have the cheek to tell you that you are still tied into the contract and you can do nothing about it so tough ...would love to know your views and any good advice would be appreciated..thanks
