I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and we decided to try Allegiant to Orlando out of Grand Forks, North Dakota because it was cheaper (at the time) than flying locally from Winnipeg. I booked online for my family of 4 and paid for the assigned seating option but opted out of the trip flex option. As soon as I had booked, I read the reviews of this airline and I was REALLY worried! I had read such bad things. I had read that the staff was rude, the boarding process was confusing and a mishmash and that the flights were notoriously late all the time. I had also read that if you were even 1 minute late to the gate, you'd be denied boarding and that the company "nickels and dimes you" and charges for everything.
Well, I'm here to tell you that NONE of the above is true. We had a WONDERFUL experience with Allegiant. Flight was on time on way down (delayed about 20 mins on way back). Attendants were friendly and professional and we got our money's worth. What's the problem?
