“Unauthorised deduction for unwanted goods”

Written on: 08/12/2011 by reasonablehumanbeing

I viewed a Living Social deal for £119. Upon viewing the fine print, I decided against the purchase & closed my browser page without completing the transaction and making the purchase.

I received no correspondence from Living Social indicating any transaction had taken place & I did not receive a Voucher. Weeks later upon viewing my bank statement, I noticed that Living Social had deducted £119 from my account. I can only assume they had kept my bank details from a previous purchase in order to process this new purchase that I did not want, nor authorise.

Upon outlining my complaint with Living Social, I was mucked around & refused the return of my £119 with the excuse that I was outside their '5 day refund term' (which I never agreed to, to begin with!)

This company will literally steal your money. DO NOT, view their emails, DO NOT purchase from them!
