My wife got a blackberry in March,it developed a charging port fault 2 months ago. The o2 shop sent it back for warranty repair but it was came back with a note saying this component was not covered by warranty and they wanted £99 for repair.
Contacted RIM the manufacturer and they said their warranty only covered software issues and to go back to o2.
O2 say there is nothing more they can do, so at the moment I have a £25 a month contract and a phone that is useless.
We have been o2 customers for many years and this is the first warranty claim we ever made, when contracts expire we will be migrating.
O2 customer service after you sign up is non-exsistent.
