As 7 Students sharing a house we were advised to pick Virgin Media's 50mb Broadband in order to make sure we could all use it simultaneously. However from the moment it was installed it was never 50mb. In the evenings especially it was unusable with speed tests less than 1mb most of the time. 4 Months, 5 engineer visits and about £50 of phone bills later we have just been allowed out of our contract on the grounds that they could not provide the service they promise.
Their customer service is dire. They do everything possible to stop you talking to a real person and I was even hung up on at one point. It will take at least 2 weeks for any engineer to come and if they do bother to turn up, don’t get too excited because their drill will probably have a flat battery and they won’t be able to do the job.
A company to avoid at all costs.
