“Diving in Paradise!!”

When I arrived at Ambalahonko on the village boat I was amazed at the sight of my new home. What I didn't realize was that the experience will only get better. By the end of week one I was an advanced PADI diver with over 10 dives one of which a night dive. The best dive by far was the deep dive at the Marine park where we saw a Leopard shark and the scenery there is just amazing. Living on beans and rice was not as bad as I expected especially after 2 surveys. Everybody was so friendly and we all got along as though we were best mates. A definite highlight was the village parties!! At the end of my 4 weeks, I logged 27 dives and returned to South Africa as a qualified rescue diver. Definitely the best experience I ever had!!
