Sky, they have to be one of the largest broadcasting companies in country, so you think they could get something as simple as an installation right. They cannot!!
I had a multiroom to be installed that I had to book 2 weeks in advance and take the day off of work to be home for. I then get a call saying the engineer is running late but he will definitely turn up.
I called the call centre to state that arriving late is not acceptable as I booked an early morning appointment, in the hope i could return to work in the afternoon. They apologised and gave me another time he will arrive.
I then phoned on the hour every hour to sky who assured me that they were still coming, believe it or not till around 7PM at night. He never showed up.
frustrated I thought no more of it and called sky the next day thinking as they have missed my appointment they will just send an engineer out the next day. I wish this was to have been the case however they told me that it would be another 2 weeks i would have to wait effectively being put to the back of the queue. I stated this was not good enough and demanded to speak to manager, they refused and hung up on me.
Calls continued for a day or so but no progress was being made. I then found the email address of the CEO of Sky who I emailed. I then had a call from his executive support team who arranged a visit for a week after.
amazing how I had to take the intuitive to email the CEO just to get it installed.
I checked elsewhere but sky is the only company to offer sky sports and the likes in my area so i am stuck with them.
Awaiting the day for virgin media .....
