I ordered a new Freelander 2 from Buyacar.co.uk on 1st July 2011 and paid a deposit of £1000. I was given a provisional delivery date of early October 2011. The site stated that if your delivery date did not change then things were going as expected. Accordingly when the date changed to mid October shortly afterwards and then did not alter I decided that by the end of September it would be OK to sell my current vehicle, which I did. When asking whether an actual date for delivery was known I was told my delivery had slipped to mid November. This delivery date did not change and I telephoned to discuss uplifting the vehicle to be told that it would take a week to give me an actual date. Having left matters a further week, I could get no one to discuss my delivery and was told on a number of occasions that I would be emailed but no emails were ever received. Eventually, I asked to speak to a manager but none was available. I then demanded to speak to someone who might give a promise of when I could get a reply to my queries but was told that no one was available and that an email would be sent. At 5pm on a Friday (no contact would then be available till the following Monday) I was sent an email telling me my that they could not supply the car as their supplier had problems and that I would need to re-order with a delivery date of March 2012. My recommendation on this company would be to AVOID and do not get involved with them despite the tempting prices. Their customer service leaves very much to be desired.
