“Giff Gaff Naff Naff”

Ok let's begin,

At the start of this month I got a new mobile phone a smart phone, as I have been on pay as you go with my previous phone I wanted something with better value for money, so anyway my smart phone is locked to 02, and found out that giffgaff would work without unlocking, great I thought, went to their website and thought wow what a great deal for your money.

Ordered sim card and it arrived a few days later, went onto giffgaff website and entered my 6 digit code from the sim card. Up comes a message "We're temporarily unable to activate your SIM. Please try again later"., Ok I thought so tried later that day, same message appears, so try later that night again same message. Thought ok let's try tommorow, you guessed it right same message!.

This went on for 5 day's, giffgaff has no phone support you have to use their forum online, so I asked on there the reponses:

Order a new sim
Try again later
Ask an agent

So I did just that, It took over 48 hours to receive a reply off an agent which basically asked for the information I had just sent them!, so my message wasnt read. So after 5 days I tried the code again it accepts it finally. Great let's get the thing activated and topped up!, I order a £10 goodybag and £10 credit, (you have to put £10 on to activate the sim), great!, all goes though my money is taken!.

The screen then says "activation in progress" "can take upto 30 minutes", great so went off and kept busy, the day went on, past 24 hours, asked on the forum, the reply's where:

Wait 48 hours
Contact an agent

So I did, the response again from the agent disregarded my question and sent a gernic reply. At this stage 3 days had passed. I was then at the end of my patience, I had given these people a week of my time and my money and had no phone working. I was also wasting my £10 goodybag day by day. I got fed up and finally asked for a refund, thankfully I got my request and im now with another mobile company who set me up then and there.

They maybe cheap but there cheap for a reason, first they have no support line only a forum, the forum members get credit for doing their dirty work, so you get 20 differnt versions of the same answer which mainly consists of "contact an agent", order a new sime", "wait 24 hours" "wait longer" "use another browser" this from forum members who know absolutely nothing just trying to get more post's for credit it's like a giffgaff cult. If you say anything negatively about giffgaff thieir cult attack you, all for just wanting a service.

If a company kept you waiting a week for a service of course you would go elsewhere, and I did.

The member say oh but you wont find anyone as cheap as giffgaff, that maybe true but it doesnt work, whats cheap about a network that doesnt work?, Id rather pay more for quality service and less of a deal.
